It won't touch your passwords. The accessing web history is pretty innocuous; it needs your web history for cookies, for example (in order to stay logged in)

Anesidora 1.6.2 works with Chrome, but only for the first signon; invocations after ask for (but don't accept) the login/password and don't allow the available playlists to be accesed. My work-around is to uninstall/reinstall Anesidora whenever I want to use it.

This addon should be temporarily removed until the skip problem can be fixed. It runs maximum skips on each station, which bans your account for 1 hour.
While I love the idea of Anesidora, a cat and mouse game seems to be going on between the Pandora and Anesidora developers. I just ran into the skip/lock problem: "There are no more songs to play on this station." This has occurred with Anesidora 1.6.2, 1.6.4, and 1.6.5.
Okay, so 1.6.6 does work (I wish I had read all the comments before using 1.6.2). So now my pandora account is "frozen". How long does it take for it to reset and let me listen to music again?

1.6.8.1 is WORKING 100% For me, no pauses, unlimited skips are working fine, volume slider works fine, it does not glitch/freeze or hang up. Everything is fluent and easy. Running on Google Chrome Version 21.0.1180.89 m - A-Wek
Never mind I figured it out. If anyone else has the problem, all you have to do is go to your file explorer and drag the actual file into the extensions screen in chrome.
Can't choose a station, I just re-installed Chrome v21.0.1180.89 m on windows 7, was able to install and log in, my stations show up but nothing happens when I click on one.

There's an unlabeled checkbox in the corner of the album art. The [...] does nothing. I don't see a way to bookmark the song. I'd gladly donate to get a reliable version.
@MarkevMarketing. I'm having the same problem. It stops after an undetermined amount of songs and if I simply hit play again, it just goes to play the last song that played over again so the only way to get it to continue is to hit skip.

It's a joke Pandora and Google make a marketing deal to put Pandora as an App in the Google Chrome Store and they are highlighting it on the homepage and all it does is add a bookmark to Pandora website. PATHETIC.
By the way, to install this, you need to start chrome with --enable-easy-off-store-extension-install option. I could not find a way to add that to the shortcut in Windows 8 so I had to run chrome.exe from command line with that switch.

I'm having trouble with the player not showing any song or playlist most of the times, and each time I restart the browser it seems to log out of my account –these two problems may be connected. Also at times when it does show songs it just skips through them without playing, after which it reaches the warning about a problem with Anesidora that sorta self destructs in order to avoid problems with the locking of the Pandora account. I't worked fine the first day I used it, not anymore :(
I think anesidora is dead. Anesidora.us is down and it seems like the project is gone. Mine functions for the most part with some GUI errors but I'm happy it still at least plays.

ReplyDeleteAwwwww the addon glitched and sent like 50 skips in 5 seconds and got me banned from pandora. (Probably temporary)

ReplyDeleteUnknown, these issues are resolved in 1.6.6. The problem was actually Pandora having a bad server. Everything is resolved.

It will auto update to the latest version. You can force it to update by going into manage extensions and clicking the update button.

Anybody else having the problem of it stopping after every 2-3 songs, then repeating the previous song? Does this on both CentOS and Windows7.
